In 2014 WAAF joined a collaborative project between WAAF and the Human Rights Advocacy Center, (HRAC) with funding from the Royal Netherlands Embassy to make integration of human rights and accessibility to quality friendly LGBT specific health care taking into consideration the diverse needs of LGBT community in Ghana.
In 2016 WAAF, as one of the 13 Implementing Partners signed and started implementation work on the JSI managed USAID - Strengthening the Care Continuum project in Ghana.
On the Care Continuum, WAAF focuses on enhancing efforts across the entire HIV care cascade for MSMs in two selected districts in Ghana, New Juaben Municipal in eastern Region and Accra Metropolitan Assembly in Greater Accra Region. Through Peer Educators, MSMs at the community level receive education on HIV/STI preventive messages.
West Africa AIDS Foundation (WAAF) on January 11, 2017 was officially mentioned as one of the PACF’s implementing partners as a proposal submitted by WAAF for a 2017 to 2020 project was approved by the PACF Board.
