FORMER BOARD MEMBERS
West Africa AIDS Foundation (WAAF) is a non-governmental not-for-profit organization, registered in Ghana in 1999 with the Registrations General and the Social Welfare Department.
Graduated from Cleary University, Howell Michigan and was awarded a certified Public Accountant Certificate from the state of OHIO in 1986. He was the Vice President Finance for Kent Adhesive Products Company, Ohio and was directly responsible for all aspect of information system and accounting.
Other positions Mr. Pickings have held are: Service and Administrative Manager, Owens Corning Fiberglas Corporation at Medina-Ohio, Senior Analyst, Owens Corning Fiberglas Corporation at Toledo and an Accountant. Mr. Pickings is the CEO of Solar Utilization Network (S.U.N) Ltd.
He has accomplished numerous tasks such as; successful installation and implementation of a state of the art software system that connected the production area with the office, inventory control system, standard costing; accounts receivable “tickler” system that automatically informed management of past due accounts receivable and customer tracking notes that provided the sales and marketing team with up-to-date data regarding their customers; a system that would “flag” order entry personnel during order entry if the customer’s account was past due, maintained a 1A Dun and Bradstreet credit rating; significantly improved company cash flow.
Mr. Pickings have been associated with WAAF for many years contributing tremendously to the wellbeing of the facility.
