WAAF works with GAC towards achieving first 90 of 90/90/90

Ghana, just like many other countries is determined to End AIDS by 2030 and is putting all efforts in place to make this a reality. One such effort is achieving the first 90 of the 90/90/90 UNAIDS strategy that aims to ensure 90% of all those living with HIV know their status.

As a result, WAAF and other IPs of the Ghana AIDS Commission (GAC) have made HIV Testing and Counselling (HTC) a priority and are grabbing any opportunity to provide this service. Whether a conference, a durbar, a sports event, a festival, a meeting or via an outreach, WAAF continues to partner with the GAC and other partners to ensure we test as many people as possible to let as many know their HIV status.

Some event that WAAF with support from GAC have conducted HIV testing include stakeholders meeting at Mensvic hotel to discuss strategies on implementing the 90/90/90 UNAIDS Strategy to end AIDS by 2030, World TB Day at Ashiaman, 7th Africa Conference on Sexual Health and Reproduction, Ghana Independence Day Celebration at Independence Square, Ghana Telecom University, among others.
